Hola a todos!!! Hoy nos dimos el lujo de enviar y recibir mails así que
podemos escribir un poquito más.
Nuestro paso por Patriot Hills y el campamento base del Vinson fue bastante rápido, pero alcanzamos a saludar a varios amigos, que año a año convergen aquí desde los lugares más remotos del mundo, partiendo por Punta Arenas hasta Noruega. Además, aprovechando el viento que nos mantuvo cautivos en Punta Arenas, disfrutamos varias horas esquiando con los Kites (volantines).
Desde el último mensaje, nos hemos dedicado a soltar las piernas randoneando y subiendo algunas pequeñas pero bellas cumbres de por aquí cerca, aprovechando de hacer mediciones. . . pero lo mejor de lo mejor han sido los descensos. . . un par de esquíes, un paisaje alucinante y una nieve disfrutable hasta el último metro.
Mañana moveremos nuestro campamento para quedar a tiro de cañon del Epperly, que desde aquí se lo vé imponente y majestuoso, las ganas de partir a disfrutar sus laderas cási no se contienen, pero es un objetivo que merece ser abordado con el mayor respeto y cautela.
Respecto al equipo, estamos todos muy bien. Damien, muy motivado y como siempre en su rol de lider de la expedición, Jarmila aún no se puede creer que está en Antártica, y con el esquí a disfrutado como chancho en el barro.
La Pachi también feliz, pero por poco tenemos que amarrarla para que no parta al tiro a subir el Tyree y el Epperly. Y Camilo, como cabro chico con su Kite, gozando el esquí y transmitiendo con sus mediciones pa la tesis.
